We had plans approved for an infill orangery style extension. Mitch was awarded the project on the basis of his detailed costings. He was the only contractor who had thoroughly responded to the tender. This was reassuring to us given the current climate of rising costs. The orangery was twice as much as what rough costings predicted a few years previous before covid and inflation. Mitch was an excellent project manager to work with. He certainly knows his stuff and is as incredibly patient with me. I was very anxious and Mitch knew this and always answered my calls or called me back within minutes. He spent many an hour reassuring me and explaining things to me. Never becoming frustrated with me. As for his team of builders they were excellent. Erik (the main builder) was amazing. They worked very very hard. Arriving 7.30/8 am and staying until 5.30 or later if they needed to finish something. They were polite, kind, hardworking and genuinely cared about the work they did. I’m so pleased I used this team. Mitch also helped us prep for the kitchen renovation and decorated the whole area afterwards. His forward thinking and future proofing ideas were great. We hit a couple of obstacles which he spoke to me about at length and came up with sensible solutions. The end result is stunning. Visitors mouths drop open when they walk into the kitchen/orangery area and utter wow. He’s been great after the project has finished also, chasing down building control and sending Erik in to fix any tiny snags and help with some bits Wren didn’t sort with the extractor fan. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and his team. He will certainly be on quick dial for me for any future projects.
